Fun Summer Days!

Well, Summer is going by and I can't believe how fast it is passing us! It seems like just yesterday we were all bundled up and now it's already getting close to August! It has been a fun Summer so far with our beautiful little girl and I am always enjoying new and fun things with her around. The new additions to her repertoires are giggles and raspberries. She LOVES to spit all the time now and make noises with her mouth - it is cute to watch, just make sure you steer clear of the splash zone! I am not sure her exact weight because we haven't been to the doctor since the end of May but according to my scale she is 14 pounds! That is twice her birth weight! It is sad to see her grow up but reassuring to see her growing bigger. I am reminded of how little she really is though when I see pictures of her or when I am holding her and walk by a mirror and see our reflections.

The big news, in case you haven't heard from other sources, is that I have quit my job! I have set up a babysitting gig with our friends Mike and Julie and will be watching their two kids Asher (2 1/2) and Avery (1) 3 days a week. I have been really having a hard time being at peace with my work situation and have been looking to find a way to stay with my girl. After months of searching God has once again provided me with a wonderful solution. I am so thankful for this opportunity and can't wait to start spending each day with Aubrey. I will be working at my job until the 3rd week in August at which point I will start the babysitting. Hooray!!!

I have been a bit lazy in taking pictures recently but am told that there are some very cute ones that were taken on the 4th of July so as soon as I get those I will post them up here. For now I have some cute pictures for Aubrey's first time going swimming and a cute picture of Aubrey with her Daddy.
